# Configuration Management Implementation Summary

## Ticket: HYBRID_SEARCH-6002

This document summarizes the implementation of the comprehensive configuration management system for Maproom's hybrid search.

## Validation Rules

### Embedding Configuration
- Provider cannot be empty
- Model name cannot be empty
- Dimension must be > 0

### Fusion Configuration
- All weights must be non-negative
- RRF k must be > 0
- Weights should sum to 1.0 (warning if not)

### Performance Configuration
- max_candidates_per_method must be > 0
- final_result_limit must be > 0
- timeout_ms can be 0 (no timeout)

### Index Configuration
- ivfflat_lists must be > 0
- ivfflat_probes must be > 0
- Warning if ivfflat_probes > ivfflat_lists

## Hot Reloadable Fields

Only the following fields are hot-reloadable (no restart required):
- `fusion.weights.fts`
- `fusion.weights.vector`
- `fusion.weights.graph`
- `fusion.weights.recency`
- `fusion.weights.churn`
- `fusion.rrf_k`
- `fusion.method`

All other fields require a service restart to take effect.
