**Size**: 1,260 lines of code

**Statistics**:
- 42 async functions
- 8 public types (structs/enums)
- 11 comprehensive unit tests
- Full documentation with examples

## Key Components Implemented

### 1. OffsetManager Struct
Main coordinator for offset management with:
- Per-partition offset tracking using DashMap for concurrent access
- Multiple commit strategies (Periodic, EveryNEvents, OnWatermark, Manual)
- Automatic and manual commit modes
- Comprehensive statistics tracking
- Watermark integration for exactly-once semantics

**Key Methods**:
- `update_offset()` - Update offset for partition
- `update_offset_with_watermark()` - Update with lag tracking
- `get_offset()` - Get current offset
- `get_offset_info()` - Get detailed offset information
- `commit()` - Commit offsets with batching
- `restore()` - Restore offsets from storage
- `lag()` - Calculate offset lag
- `total_lag()` - Get total lag across partitions
- `reset_offset()` - Reset partition with multiple strategies
- `notify_watermark()` - Handle watermark-based commits
- `stats()` - Get commit statistics
- `clear()` - Clear all offsets

### 2. TopicPartition
Represents a topic-partition pair:
- String-based topic name
- Numeric partition ID
- Helper methods for conversion and display
- Hash and Eq implementations for use as map keys

### 3. OffsetInfo
Comprehensive offset metadata:
- Current offset value
- Optional high watermark for lag calculation
- Last update timestamp
- Optional metadata string
- `lag()` method for instant lag calculation

### 4. OffsetCommitStrategy
Four commit strategies:
- **Periodic**: Time-based commits (e.g., every 5 seconds)
- **EveryNEvents**: Event-count-based commits (e.g., every 1000 events)
- **OnWatermark**: Watermark-advancement-based commits
- **Manual**: Application-controlled commits

### 5. OffsetResetStrategy
Four reset strategies:
- **Earliest**: Start from beginning of partition
- **Latest**: Start from end of partition (skip to current)
- **Specific(i64)**: Start from specific offset
- **Timestamp(i64)**: Start from offset at timestamp

### 6. OffsetStats
Comprehensive statistics:
- Total commits attempted
- Successful commits
- Failed commits
- Total offsets committed
- Last commit timestamp
- Average commit duration (rolling average)

### 7. OffsetStore Trait
Abstract storage interface with two implementations:

#### InMemoryOffsetStore
- Fast concurrent access using DashMap
- No persistence (testing/development)
- Supports multiple consumer groups
- Thread-safe operations

#### StateBackendOffsetStore<B>
- Generic over StateBackend implementation
- Persistent storage
- Fault-tolerant
- Supports recovery
- Customizable key prefix

**Trait Methods**:
- `store_offset()` - Store offset for topic-partition
- `get_offset()` - Retrieve offset
- `get_all_offsets()` - Get all offsets for consumer group
- `delete_offset()` - Delete offset
- `clear_offsets()` - Clear all offsets for group

## Features Implemented

### Per-Partition Offset Tracking

### Checkpoint Integration
- Offsets saved to state backend
- Compatible with existing checkpoint system
- Supports recovery after failures
- Versioned serialization with bincode

### Offset Lag Calculation

- Total lag across all partitions
- Real-time lag monitoring
- High watermark integration

### Reset Strategies
- Multiple reset options
- Support for earliest/latest/specific offsets

- Atomic reset operations

### Automatic Commit Strategies
- **Periodic**: Configurable time intervals with debouncing
- **EveryNEvents**: Event-count-based with counter tracking
- **OnWatermark**: Watermark-driven commits
- **Manual**: Full application control

## Tests Implemented

## Integration Points

### State Backend System
- Uses existing `StateBackend` trait
- Compatible with `MemoryStateBackend` and `SledStateBackend`
- Leverages state checkpoint infrastructure
- Consistent error handling via `StateError`

### Watermark System
- Integrates with `Watermark` type from watermark module
- `notify_watermark()` method for watermark-based commits
- Supports exactly-once processing guarantees
- Tracks watermark progression

### Error Handling
- Uses existing `StateError` and `StateResult` types
- Comprehensive error messages
- Transaction failure detection
- Serialization/deserialization error handling

## Code Quality

- **Documentation**: Comprehensive doc comments with examples
- **Type Safety**: Strong typing throughout
- **Thread Safety**: All types are Send + Sync
- **Error Handling**: Proper Result types and error propagation
- **Testing**: 11 unit tests covering all major functionality
- **Async-First**: All I/O operations are async
- **Performance**: Lock-free reads via DashMap, batched commits

## Dependencies Used

## Performance Characteristics

- **Concurrent Reads**: O(1) lock-free via DashMap
