## 4. Sacred TDD Cycle (Follow Religiously)
> **Always adhere strictly to the Sacred TDD Cycle.**
> Do not proceed with implementation until you have written a failing test that conditions the new feature or change.
> Before starting coding, run the test suite to confirm the new test fails (Red).
> Only then, implement the minimum code to make the test pass (Green).
> Finally, refactor the code for clarity and quality, ensuring all tests still pass.
> Repeat this cycle for every feature, bug fix, or refactor.
1. **Red**
- Collaboratively write a **single failing test** for the next small increment.
- Confirm it fails for the right reason.
2. **Green**
- Write the **minimal code** to make that test pass.
- Do not add extra features.
3. **Refactor**
- Clean up code and tests: eliminate duplication, improve names, strengthen invariants.
- Ensure **all tests still pass**.
4. **Repeat**
- Increment by one small, vertical slice: new test → pass → refactor.
- Commit each cycle with clear messages.
**Never skip or reorder these steps.** Every suggestion, code snippet, or refactoring must map directly to this cycle.

## 5. Progress Tracking via attention.yaml
To preserve context, progress, and next steps between sessions, maintain a checked-in file (`attention.yaml`) in the repo root.
Your agent should:
1. **Load** `attention.yaml` at start and confirm the current stage.
2. **Update** its fields after each TDD step (Red, Green, Refactor).
3. **Append** timestamped entries to a `history` list.
4. **Write** back and optionally commit the file.
5. **Prompt** the human with a short status if session is resumed:
