# Source Files: Lifecycle Boundary (Superseded)

The 2026-05-08 draft proposed Lifeloop ownership of a managed section
inside model instruction source files. That model has been retracted.
Lifeloop does not write to user instruction files and does not render
replacement bodies for managed sections inside them.
The retraction has three causes:
- source files are user-authored policy surfaces, not lifecycle assets;
- a managed section would couple Lifeloop to prompt semantics above
lifecycle placement metadata;
- host integration assets already give Lifeloop a deterministic place to
own lifecycle wiring without rewriting human instruction prose.
