What a dyadic ⊂ does.

The APL2 line reads the left argument as partition flags: a partition begins where the flags rise, and a zero drops its item. The other line reads them as counts — each item says how many partitions to begin before it, so a count above one leaves empty partitions behind — and spells the flag reading ⊆. Both lines agree about ⊆.
