# Open-format Codex conversation state 0.7.5
`ConversationState` owns deterministic open-format Codex K1 conversation state. Existing turn, recovery, mailbox-flush, malformed-native-call, restart, and delta-input behavior remains unchanged from 0.7.4.
The additive startup-context API is available only while the conversation is idle. `accept_idle_context_box` appends one ordinary canonical box without scheduling inference. `accept_idle_context_tool_call` allocates the next session-owned `ToolCallId`, appends a canonical correlated Tool Call, and returns its ID. `accept_idle_context_tool_return` appends the matching canonical Tool Result without scheduling inference. All three values enter the ordinary unsubmitted history and therefore appear before the later triggering User Message in the first provider input. Canonical validation, ordering, and correlation remain owned by Chatend through Chat State 0.9.1.
These methods perform no tool execution, authorization, persistence, HTTP, retry, migration, provider work, or deployment. Their intended caller is the trusted durable first-send owner.
