# `jan test`

Run Given/When/Then POSIX `sh` tests declared on command nodes.

```bash
jan test
jan test scripts files
jan test scripts files csv-summary
```

With no path, every test in the preferred tree runs. With a path, tests on that command and all nested descendants run.

YAML: [Command tests](../spec/tests.md).

Unknown flags (other than `-h` / `--help`) are rejected. Tests never write the audit log.

Output is TAP-ish on stderr:

ok 1  android skills list  given_no_args_when_listed_then_prints_path
not ok 2  …
# 1 passed, 1 failed, 2 total
```

Exit status is `1` if any test failed, `0` if all passed or none were defined.
