- alt arrow and arrows without but ignore perspective
- labels for axes
- should use Key instead of KeyCode, because of different keyboard layouts
- add H to hide the selected entity, ctrl + H to unhide,
and alt + H to hide everything EXCEPT the selected entity
- cutting a brush seems to be slightly offset causing unintended slicing of brushes below
- draw a transparent/nonsolid brush?
- in the "home" screen with the recent projects, can I please remove entries? I clicked on a random folder to try it out, and now that folder is "stuck there" haha
- when in a scene already editing, how do you get back to the home screen?
- there's no "open recent" from within the scene editor
- the UI constantly appears to "wobble" when deleting a bunch of brushes which is disorienting -
the footer changes, the inspector clears out, and the viewport/grid slightly moves
- guidelines look like spaghetti - see image#
- gizmos don't really work (the rotate gizmo just disappears when you click on it)
- hovering over the buttons in the viewport/toolbar don't give a tooltip/shortcut hint
- arrow movement correctly respects the current view, but alt-arrows don't - they always use the global orientation/axis rather than local
- there's a small gizmo always present in the lower left that shouldn't be there (red, green, blue axis guide maybe?)
- would be nice to have smaller grid steps and configurable keybinds to remap all settings
- when an object is in focus and you hold shift over a face, you should have a visual outline guide as to what face is going to be dragged, before comitting to a face extrude
- sometimes, when you move a face it sometimes creates a new brush? if you keep holding shift after the first extrusion, the second one is a new brush creation
if you let go of shift in-between it extrudes twice
- holdight right click to move the camera does not work once the cursor leaves the viewport (same with WASD movement)
- extruding/moving a face on a brush should always respect the grid, unless grid snapping is disabled
- File -> New doesn't ask to save current scene first, just removes it, and the new scene created has no lighting
- we need to review the guidelines, so it's easy to align how high to make walls when drawing them - research trenchbroom for this
- there seems to be a bug with the gridlines disappearing on brushes when using the cut tool, they someotimes disappear
- the cut tool also occasionally slightly cuts the brush below
- the cut tool also sometimes leaves a very thin wall behind and perhaps isn't respecting the grid fully?
- the cut/brush crosshair occassionaly jitters and switches between perspectives when drawing on existing geometry
- we need a way to hold shift + left click to select multiple brushes (and draw a transparent selection box outline to show what is actually getting selected as a guide)
- it seems like undo/redo is leaving behind some meshes which don't fully get removed and cleared down
- "when entering face mode with shift, you have to keep it held? shift + click on face should enter face mode
I would have expected shift + click on face to enter the face mode on it
pbut it seems I need to have Shift held to STAY in that mode?
until I moved the face once
then it seems to be sticking in face mode even without shift
oh, and when in that face mode, clicking outside the brush does not select the current selection"
- when in face/vertex/edge mode you should be able to click outside the brush to exit, rather than only having to press Esc
- oh, also looks like holding Ctrl to lock the plane still deactivates grid snap
- creating diagonal walls is cumbersome - you should be able to hold shift before the first click on the brush tool to enter "diagonal wall mode" which respects the grid,
unless you have grid snapping explicitly disabled
- need to be able to see a textures path in the material editor, and you can't see a selected brush's current material nor remove it
