DereferenceError

Enum DereferenceError

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum DereferenceError { Resolution { did: Did, error: ResolutionError, }, InvalidDidUrl { url: DidUrl, reason: String, }, MethodSpecific(DidUrl), Deactivated(Did), NotFound(DidUrl), NotVerificationMethod(DidUrl), NotInRelationship { id: DidUrl, relationship: VerificationRelationship, }, NoJwk { id: DidUrl, method_type: MethodType, source: Box<JwkError>, }, }
Expand description

Why a DID URL could not be dereferenced.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Resolution

Resolving the DID of the URL failed.

Fields

§did: Did

The DID that was resolved.

§error: ResolutionError

What went wrong.

§

InvalidDidUrl

The URL is syntactically valid but not usable: a DID parameter is given twice.

Fields

§url: DidUrl

The URL.

§reason: String

What is wrong with it.

§

MethodSpecific(DidUrl)

The URL has a path or query parameter whose meaning only its DID method defines; this crate dereferences none of them (the service and relativeRef parameters included).

§

Deactivated(Did)

The DID has been deactivated, so none of its resources may be used.

§

NotFound(DidUrl)

No verification method or service of the document has the id of the URL.

§

NotVerificationMethod(DidUrl)

The URL names the document or a service, not a verification method.

§

NotInRelationship

The verification method exists but is not usable for the required relationship.

Fields

§id: DidUrl

The id of the verification method.

§relationship: VerificationRelationship

The relationship that was required.

§

NoJwk

The verification method has no publicKeyJwk and its publicKeyMultibase is not a Multikey this crate can decode (see Jwk::from_multikey).

Fields

§id: DidUrl

The id of the verification method.

§method_type: MethodType

Its type.

§source: Box<JwkError>

Why the multibase material did not decode.
