FunctionRef

Struct FunctionRef

Source
pub struct FunctionRef<'data> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Borrowed view of one indexed FunctionInfo record.

Self::index, Self::range, and Self::name are cheap, so listing or filtering symbols does not need to decode anything. Self::decode returns the whole record as an owned Function.

Obtained from Gsym::function, Gsym::get_function, or Gsym::functions.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<'data> FunctionRef<'data>

Source

pub const fn index(&self) -> usize

Returns the address-table index.

Source

pub const fn range(&self) -> AddressRange

Returns the function’s half-open address range.

Source

pub const fn name(&self) -> &'data [u8]

Returns raw function-name bytes borrowed from the string table.

Source

pub const fn start(&self) -> u64

Returns the function start address.

Source

pub fn decode(&self) -> Result<Function>

Decodes the record into an owned semantic model.

§Errors

Returns an error for malformed or semantically invalid line, inline, merged-function, or call-site data, an invalid string reference, or a record type this crate cannot preserve.
