# graphforge-cli
GraphForge command-line interface.
This crate is an internal layer of [GraphForge](https://graphforge.sh), a Rust
graph engine with Arrow results and Parquet storage. Most applications should
start with one of these entry points:
- Rust: [`graphforge-api`](https://crates.io/crates/graphforge-api), the public engine facade.
- Terminal: `gf`, installed from [`graphforge-cli`](https://crates.io/crates/graphforge-cli).
- Python: the [`graphforge` wheel](https://pypi.org/project/graphforge/).
- Node: [`@curatelabs/graphforge`](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@curatelabs/graphforge).
Use matching versions across the engine and bindings. Before v1.0.0, GraphForge
does not guarantee backward compatibility or project migration.
## Quickstart
Install the version shown on this crate page (replace `<version>`):
```sh
cargo install graphforge-cli --version <version> --locked
gf --version
gf --help
mkdir my-graph
cd my-graph
gf init
gf skills status
```
`gf init` creates repository-local GraphForge configuration and installs the
embedded agent skills. Durable projects require an ext4, xfs, or btrfs volume
at the project root. Follow the
[first graph guide](https://docs.graphforge.sh/guide/quickstart/) to load and
query connected data.
