# geokernel-sys
Low-level Rust bindings for the GeoKernel native C ABI. The crate loads the
GeoKernel shared library at runtime; install the matching GeoKernel SDK runtime
for your platform before opening a library.
This crate is the unsafe FFI layer. Applications should normally depend on
[`geokernel`](https://crates.io/crates/geokernel) instead.
`globe::GlobeApi` loads all 56 exports from `GeoKernel.Globe.dll` or
`libGeoKernel.Globe.so`. It uses UTF-8 buffers, `u64` handles/jobs and `usize`
native parent IDs; these differ from the legacy Viewer's wide-string ABI.
`GeoKernelGlobeOptions` and `GeoKernelGlobeCamera` are `repr(C)` structs whose
size/version fields must be initialized on both input and output calls.
All GUI operations require the process main thread. Follow `GlobeInterop.h`
for pointer, capacity, parent ownership and teardown rules. Modules remain
resident after loading. Released SDK 1.5.34 does not provide this Globe ABI.
