# Commercial licensing
This project is distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License,
version 3 or later (AGPL-3.0-or-later). The AGPL applies whenever the
software is distributed *or* made available to users over a network
(for example as part of a SaaS product).
If the AGPL's terms — in particular the requirement to make the complete
corresponding source code of any larger work available under a compatible
license — do not fit your use case, a commercial license is available that
removes those obligations.
A commercial license is typically the right fit when you want to:
- Embed this library in a closed-source product.
- Operate a hosted service that depends on it without releasing the rest
of the service stack under the AGPL.
- Combine it with code that cannot be relicensed under the AGPL.
