Struct InstallTimings

Source
pub struct InstallTimings {
    pub engine_surface: Duration,
    pub device_create: Duration,
    pub cache_seed: Duration,
    pub caps_probe: Duration,
    pub engine: ConstructionTimings,
    pub rest: Duration,
}
Expand description

Where the first surface install spent its time, from the on_surface_created_* entry to install_surface’s exit. Durations, not offsets. device_create is a part of engine_surface (reported on its own); the other fields are disjoint, so engine_surface + cache_seed + caps_probe + engine.* + rest is the whole install.

Fields§

§engine_surface: Duration

Surface creation, device creation, capability gate and swapchain configure.

§device_create: Duration

The ensure_device call inside engine_surface.

§cache_seed: Duration

create_pipeline_cache (the driver-cache seed; ~0 off Vulkan).

§caps_probe: Duration

TierCaps::probe.

§engine: ConstructionTimings

EngineRenderer::new’s own split.

§rest: Duration

The rest of install_surface (timestamp ring, shader quad pass, state adoption).
