## Installation

The pre-compiled binaries for Linux, Windows, and FreeBSD are available for download on the [Releases](https://github.com/grouzen/framework-tool-tui/releases) page

Requires [Rust](https://rustup.rs/) (Edition 2024) and a Framework laptop.

cd framework-tool-tui
cargo build --release
# or via cargo install
cargo install --path .

#### Gentoo linux
It is available via official [Gentoo packages](https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/app-laptop/framework-tool-tui) or the [lamdness](https://github.com/grouzen/lamdness-overlay/tree/main/app-laptop/framework-tool-tui) overlay

### Check your code before pushing
It is recommended to run `cargo make check-all` before commiting and pushing to your feature branch.
This requires [cargo make](https://github.com/sagiegurari/cargo-make) runner to be installed on your system:

### Commit Message Convention
This project uses [Conventional Commits](https://www.conventionalcommits.org/) for automated versioning and changelog generation. Please format your commit messages as:

<type>: <description>
[optional body]
```
**Common types:**
- `feat:` - New feature (triggers minor version bump)
- `fix:` - Bug fix (triggers patch version bump)
- `docs:` - Documentation changes
- `refactor:` - Code refactoring
- `test:` - Adding or updating tests
- `chore:` - Maintenance tasks
- `ci:` - CI/CD changes
**Examples:**

For breaking changes, add `!` after the type or include `BREAKING CHANGE:` in the footer:
