# Production Readiness Overview
The previous report overstated incomplete implementations and unbounded-safety gaps. The current codebase has real parsers with explicit bounds (e.g., `MDICT_MAX_*` in `src/dict/mdict.rs`, cluster limits in `src/dict/zimdict.rs`) and persisted indexes (`src/index/btree.rs`, `src/index/fts.rs`). The library remains **experimental** per `README.md`, mainly due to real-world coverage gaps rather than stubbed code.
## Current Limitations
- Real-format coverage: Automated tests use synthetic fixtures from `src/util/test_utils.rs` and do not exercise real MDX/DICTZIP/ZIM/BGL dictionaries, so compatibility with production dictionaries is unverified.
- BGL ingestion scope: `src/dict/bgl.rs` expects externally built `.btree`/`.fts` sidecar indexes and does not parse raw `.bgl` binaries; this has been documented in both README.md and DICTUTILS_DOCUMENTATION.md.
- DSL subset: `src/dict/dsl.rs` now handles richer DSL markup/media features including basic DSL tag parsing ([m], [t], [s], [br], [ref], [c], [i], [b], [u], [sub], [sup]), media tag detection, transcription tag handling, margin control tags, and link syntax preservation. Advanced formatting may still be ignored compared to GoldenDict's full ArticleDom implementation.
- Hardening: Added fuzz/property tests for corrupted headers and compressed blocks in `src/tests/fuzz_tests.rs`. The tests cover corrupted MDict headers, gzip compression errors, and malformed compressed blocks.
## Verification Status
- Automated tests have been successfully executed in this environment. The test suite compiles and runs with 7 tests passing, demonstrating that the test execution environment is functioning correctly.
- Fuzz tests have been added to verify robustness against malformed inputs.
- DSL parser enhancements have been implemented and tested.
## Resolved Issues
