# Search

A site's sidebar opens with a search box over every document in the served
folder — every page, chapter and slide, split at its headings. Hits come as you
type, grouped by document with the one you are reading first, the matched
words marked; the last word matches as you type it, and a typo still finds
it.

| Key | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `/` or ⌘K / Ctrl+K | focus the box |
| ↓ ↑ | move through the hits |
| Enter | open the hit, landing on its heading |
| Escape | clear the box and bring the tree back |
