## Acceptable use
dar is designed for lawful digital forensics, incident response, and backup inspection. You agree to use dar only for purposes that are legal in your jurisdiction.
Prohibited uses include but are not limited to:
- Reading or extracting archives, devices, or data you do not own or have explicit authorisation to access.
- Any activity that violates applicable computer fraud, data protection, or privacy laws.

## No warranty
dar is provided **"as is"**, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Security Ronin Ltd makes no representations regarding fitness for evidentiary, legal, or regulatory purposes. dar reads a vendor-extended, partly reverse-engineered archive format; verify critical results against an independent tool. Use in official proceedings is solely at the user's discretion and risk.

## Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Security Ronin Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use dar.
