ClearableUpdateFlags

Struct ClearableUpdateFlags

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct ClearableUpdateFlags { pub status_update: bool, pub ced_update: bool, pub source_test_update: bool, pub frl_start: bool, pub flt_update: bool, pub rsed_update: bool, }
Expand description

The Update_0 flags a source may clear: every flag but RR_Test (bit 2).

Taken by Scdc::clear_update_flags. Build it from flags just read with UpdateFlags::clearable, or with new; the default clears nothing.

RR_Test (Read Request Test) has no field: culvert treats it as the one update flag the source must not clear. Only one reference states that rule (the Intel xe HDMI 2.1 series: “Read Request Test is the only update flag the source cannot clear”, rejecting it with -EINVAL), and another clears the bit regardless (Amlogic’s HDMI 2.1 transmitter). culvert follows the explicit rule because leaving a sink-owned test flag alone cannot break a sink’s read-request test, while clearing it might. With a separate type, a clear that would include it cannot be written. The decision is provisional: see “RR_Test is not cleared” in doc/architecture.md for what would change it.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§status_update: bool

Bit 0: general status has changed.

§ced_update: bool

Bit 1: CED counters have been updated.

§source_test_update: bool

Bit 3: the sink has written Source_Test_Configuration (0x35).

§frl_start: bool

Bit 4: link training passed.

§flt_update: bool

Bit 5: the per-lane link training pattern requests have changed.

§rsed_update: bool

Bit 6: the Reed-Solomon correction count has been updated.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ClearableUpdateFlags

Source

pub const fn new( status_update: bool, ced_update: bool, source_test_update: bool, frl_start: bool, flt_update: bool, rsed_update: bool, ) -> ClearableUpdateFlags

Constructs ClearableUpdateFlags from the flags to clear, in bit order.
