# cpm-planner
> cpm-planner is a Critical Path Method (CPM) planner for agent work, exposed as an MCP server over stdio. It computes the schedule of a task graph (earliest and latest start and finish, slack, critical path), leases lock-aware cohorts of ready deliverables with disjoint file sets, keeps plans as code with forkable variants, and tracks earned value. It ships agent skills (`/cpm-plan`, `/cpm-improve`, `/cpm-run`, `/cpm-ev`, `/cpm-revise`) that `cpm-planner skills install` writes for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and AGENTS.md readers.
Install with `curl -fsSL https://github.com/praxec/cpm-planner/releases/latest/download/install.sh | sh` (Linux, macOS), `irm https://github.com/praxec/cpm-planner/releases/latest/download/install.ps1 | iex` (Windows), or run `npx -y @matthew-cochran/cpm` (from 0.2.0). Then register the MCP server and run `cpm-planner skills install --target <claude|codex|cursor|copilot|gemini> --user`. The links below point at the `main` branch, which holds the latest release.
