NonlinearStep

Enum NonlinearStep

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum NonlinearStep { Midpoint, Trapezoidal, }
Expand description

The nonlinear step of ManakovSplitStep.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Midpoint

The phase of the power at the middle of the step, after the first half of the dispersion, as SplitStep (eq. (3) of Sinkin et al. 2003): no iteration.

§

Trapezoidal

OptiCommPy’s manakovSSF: the phase of the trapezoidal mean of the power at the two ends of the step, iterated until the field converges. When channels walk off within a step, the mean smooths the intensity that drives the cross-phase modulation (see ManakovSplitStep).
