Shell settings for controlling execution behavior

Fields§

§errexit: bool

Exit immediately if a command exits with non-zero status (set -e)

§verbose: bool

Print commands as they are executed (set -v)

§xtrace: bool

Print trace of commands (set -x)

§pipefail: bool

Return value of a pipeline is the status of the last command to exit with non-zero (set -o pipefail)

§nounset: bool

Treat unset variables as an error (set -u)

§noglob: bool

Disable filename globbing (set -f)

§allexport: bool

Export all variables (set -a)

Implementations§

Source§

impl ShellSettings

Source

pub fn new() -> Self

Create new shell settings with defaults

Source

pub fn reset(&mut self)

Reset all settings to their defaults

Source

pub fn set(&mut self, option: &str, value: bool)

Set a shell option by name

Supports both short flags (e, v, x, u, f, a) and long names

Source

pub fn enable(&mut self, option: &str)

Enable a shell option

Source

pub fn disable(&mut self, option: &str)

Disable a shell option
