This crate name is reserved for the pure-Rust numerical core of the climate_indices project — the kernels behind SPI, SPEI, PET, EDDI, the Palmer family, and the fire-weather indices.

No algorithms are included in this release. The Rust kernels already exist in the project's crates/climate-core directory; a public API, standalone validation, and publication are tracked in the Rust crate roadmap. Until that release lands, use the Python package: https://pypi.org/project/climate-indices/.
