# CLI Parameter: --verbosity

Control how much diagnostic output the runner itself emits. Does not
affect Claude Code subprocess output.

- **Validation:** must be integer 0–5; out of range → error

**Note:** Fatal errors bypass the verbosity gate — spawn failures and binary-not-found errors are always emitted to stderr at every level, including 0. `--dry-run` output is similarly unaffected by verbosity level. Level 0 suppresses runner diagnostics only; it does not silence errors that indicate the subprocess could not be launched.
