# blog/reblog
[blog/reblog](https://genderphas.ing/projects/blog-reblog) aims to provide a platform for folks with strong interests to write at length about them. do you like getting in-depth with things and talking about them? are you a *huge nerd* about something you want to write about? then it's for you, whatever your interests are.
that's the "blog" in blog/reblog, but it's not just that. you can't write in a vacuum. everyone who writes has to read; books, blogs, anything. the reblogging is sharing and responding to each other's words, providing not just more to think and write about, but the inspiration to do it.
so in sum: blog/reblog gives you a place to write, and lots of reasons to do it.
## installation and usage
installation is simple, if you already have cargo installed,
and this is a crate readme so i assume you do:
```sh
cargo install --locked breb
```
this gives you a cli binary, `breb`.

for how this all works.
### as a library
all of the blog-generation code is also exposed as a library,
so you can build your own frontends around it.
usage is a *little* more complex:
the "friendly config" is only really "friendly" as an actual *config file*.
but the [`raw::Config`](https://docs.rs/breb/latest/breb/raw/struct.Config.html)
exposes a much lower-level view that's much friendlier to automation.
that said, the api is also fairly unstable,
so your best bet is to simply read through the docs,
starting at the config.
because it's just a library, though,
youyou can add as much other functionality as you want:
custom [web-based](https://tauri.app/) or [native](https://www.egui.rs/) guis,
[totally customized command-line arguments](https://crates.io/crates/clap),
etc.
