## Reporting a Vulnerability
**Please do not report security vulnerabilities through public GitHub issues.**
To report a vulnerability, email the maintainers at the address listed in `Cargo.toml`. Include:
- A description of the vulnerability and its potential impact
- Steps to reproduce or a proof-of-concept (if available)
- Any suggested mitigations you have identified
You can expect an acknowledgment within **48 hours** of your report. We aim to provide a full
response — including a timeline for a fix — within **7 days**. We will coordinate disclosure
with you and credit you in the release notes unless you prefer to remain anonymous.
If you do not receive a response within 48 hours, please follow up directly.
