Bearout is licensed under the Apache License 2.0 (see `LICENSE`). This
notice records content in the repository that Bearout does not author and
does not relicense.
## Fundamento de Esperanto
The `samples/esperanto-reference` sample paraphrases grammar rules from,
and quotes short example sentences verbatim from, the *Fundamento de
Esperanto* (L. L. Zamenhof, 1905), using the web edition published by the
Akademio de Esperanto at
<https://www.akademio-de-esperanto.org/fundamento/>. Each quotation and
paraphrase names its source page and locator in a source resource.
Rights basis: the *Fundamento de Esperanto* was first published in 1905,
and its author, L. L. Zamenhof, died in 1917. Copyright terms are set by
each jurisdiction and are commonly measured from the author's death or from
publication; more than a century has passed on either measure, which is
why the project treats the original 1905 text as free to quote. This is the
project's good-faith reading of those facts, not a legal determination, and
a jurisdiction with an unusual rule could differ. The sample quotes only
the 1905 text. The Akademio de Esperanto's web edition, including its
presentation, transcription, navigation, annotations, and any other
editorial material, is that publisher's own work; the sample cites it as
the source consulted and reproduces none of it. Bearout claims no authorship
of the quoted or paraphrased text and asserts no rights over it; the
English glosses of individual words are the sample author's.
## Dependencies
Rust dependencies are listed in `Cargo.toml` and pinned in `Cargo.lock`,
each under its own licence. Licence and advisory checking of the dependency
tree is a pre-publication follow-up recorded in `CONTRIBUTING.md`.
