CommandOrigin

Enum CommandOrigin

Source
pub enum CommandOrigin {
    Remote {
        actual_address: BACnetAddress,
        binding: CommandDeviceBinding,
    },
    Local {
        owner_device: ObjectIdentifier,
        initiating_object: Option<ObjectIdentifier>,
    },
}
Expand description

Actual command writer, kept separately from its correctable source claim.

Variants§

§

Remote

Actual network writer with an admission-time correlation snapshot.

Fields

§actual_address: BACnetAddress

Original source address; routed senders retain SNET/SADR.

§binding: CommandDeviceBinding

Correlation does not authenticate the writer.

§

Local

Trusted local producer owned by the selected concrete Device.

Fields

§owner_device: ObjectIdentifier

Device that retains correction ownership.

§initiating_object: Option<ObjectIdentifier>

Optional local initiator published as the command source.

Implementations§

Source§

impl CommandOrigin

Source

pub fn validate(&self) -> Result<(), Error>

Reject malformed actual writer identities; generic ValueSource claims deliberately have a broader grammar than an actual command origin. A remote writer’s MAC must fit BACnetAddress::MAX_MAC_LEN octets, so the Value_Source published from it always encodes (#1156).
