CLI tool for managing self-hosted infrastructure with Ansible
# Installation

| Platform                                       | Method                                                                                                     |
| ---------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Linux (x86_64, aarch64), macOS (Apple Silicon) | Download from [latest release]https://github.com/sripwoud/auberge/releases/latest, extract onto `$PATH`. |
| Any platform with [Rust]https://rustup.rs/   | `cargo install auberge` (installs to `~/.cargo/bin/`).                                                     |
| Windows | Not supported โ€” Ansible requires a Unix control node. Use WSL2. |

```bash
auberge --version            # verify
cargo install auberge --force # update
cargo uninstall auberge       # remove
```

No platform-specific dependencies on Linux or macOS.

## Shell completion

```bash
# ~/.bashrc โ€” after auberge is on PATH (e.g. after mise activation)
source <(auberge completions bash)
```

The script is regenerated by the installed binary on every shell start (~10 ms), so it can never drift from the version you actually run. Zsh, fish, elvish, and powershell work the same way โ€” see [completions](cli-reference/completions.md) for the file-drop alternative and its staleness caveat.
