XiaoXuan Script Object Notation

XiaoXuan Script Object Notation (ASON) is a data format designed to be easy for humans to read and write. It is similar to JSON, but with many improvements and enhancements. ASON is mainly used as a configuration file for applications, but can also be used for data transmission.

Features

  • Compatible with most of the syntax of JSON and JSON5. If you are already familiar with JSON, you may not need to learn anything new to read and write ASON.
  • Simple, rigorous and consistent syntax. The syntax style of ASON is close to that of programming languages. For example, numbers have data types, multiple types comments and strings are supported, key names do not require double quotes, and so on. These features make it easy for users to write accurate ASON documents, and are also beneficial for modification and maintenance.
