SharedEntity

Struct SharedEntity

Source
pub struct SharedEntity { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

One copy of a cached entity: fields shared with every other copy that has the same ones, plus this copy’s _version.

It reads and compares as the whole entity it stands for, _version included: Self::to_value rebuilds that entity, and equality, field access (EntityFields) and indexing see it too. It serializes exactly as that entity does, without rebuilding it.

Implementations§

Source§

impl SharedEntity

Source

pub fn new(entity: Value) -> Self

Hold entity unshared.

Source

pub fn version(&self) -> Option<&Value>

The entity’s _version, if it has one.

Source

pub fn shares_fields_with(&self, other: &SharedEntity) -> bool

Whether other shares this entity’s fields rather than holding a copy of its own. Sharing says nothing about _version.

Source

pub fn to_value(&self) -> Value

The whole entity, as an owned value.

Source

pub fn into_value(self) -> Value

The whole entity, copying the fields only if another holder shares them.

impl EntityFields for SharedEntity

Source§

fn field(&self, name: &str) -> Option<&Value>

fn from(entity: Value) -> Self

Converts to this type from the input type.
Source§

impl Index<&str> for SharedEntity

Reads a field the way indexing a Value does: Null when it is absent.

Source§

type Output = Value

The returned type after indexing.
Source§

fn index(&self, field: &str) -> &Value

Performs the indexing (container[index]) operation. Read more
Source§

impl PartialEq for SharedEntity

Equal when the whole entities are: _version and every other field.

Source§

impl Serialize for SharedEntity

Serializes exactly as SharedEntity::to_value would, in any format, without building that value: _version is written where rebuilding the entity would have put it.

Source§

fn serialize<S: Serializer>(&self, serializer: S) -> Result<S::Ok, S::Error>

Serialize this value into the given Serde serializer. Read more
