# Web5 Implementation [AIR-3][AIS-3][BPC-3][W5C-3][DID-3]

This directory contains the Web5 implementation for Anya Core, following official Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs) standards.

## Overview

The Web5 implementation provides a comprehensive integration with the Web5 protocol, supporting Decentralized Web Nodes (DWN), Decentralized Identifiers (DID), and verifiable credentials.

## Architecture

The implementation follows a layered architecture with:

- **DWN Layer**: Decentralized Web Node implementation
- **DID Layer**: Decentralized Identity implementation
- **Protocol Layer**: Web5 protocol implementation
- **Bitcoin Integration**: Integration with Bitcoin and Taproot

## Key Components

### Core Components

- **DWN Implementation**: Full Decentralized Web Node implementation
- **DID System**: Comprehensive Decentralized Identity system
- **Verifiable Credentials**: Implementation of verifiable credentials
- **Protocol Handlers**: Web5 protocol handlers
- **Bitcoin Integration**: Integration with Bitcoin and Taproot

### Decentralized Web Node (DWN)

The DWN implementation provides:

- **Data Storage**: Secure, encrypted data storage
- **Messaging**: Decentralized messaging capabilities
- **Protocol Routing**: Routing of protocol messages
- **Access Control**: Granular access control mechanisms

### Decentralized Identity (DID)

The DID implementation supports:

- **DID Creation**: Creation of decentralized identifiers
- **DID Resolution**: Resolution of DIDs to DID documents
- **DID Authentication**: Authentication using DIDs
- **DID Authorization**: Authorization using DIDs

### Bitcoin Integration

The Web5 implementation integrates with Bitcoin through:

- **Taproot Integration**: Integration with Taproot for enhanced privacy
- **SILENT_LEAF Implementation**: Implementation of SILENT_LEAF for Taproot
- **Bitcoin-Based Identity**: Identity anchored in Bitcoin
- **Bitcoin-Based Validation**: Validation using Bitcoin

## Usage

The Web5 implementation provides:

- Creation and management of decentralized identities
- Storage and retrieval of data in Decentralized Web Nodes
- Issuance and verification of verifiable credentials
- Secure messaging between decentralized identities
- Integration with Bitcoin for enhanced security and privacy

## Web5 Compliance

The implementation is fully compliant with Web5 standards:

- [W5C-3] Web5 Compliance level 3
- Full support for DWN and DID
- Comprehensive protocol implementation
- Bitcoin integration for enhanced security

## Development

To contribute to the Web5 implementation:

1. Read the [Contributing Guide]../../dependencies/CONTRIBUTING.md
2. Follow the [AI Labeling Standards]../../docs/AI_LABELING.md
3. Ensure all code meets [official Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs)]../../docs/BIP_COMPLIANCE.md requirements

## Testing

All Web5 components are tested using:

- Unit tests in `tests/web5/`
- Integration tests for cross-component functionality
- Compliance tests for Web5 protocol compatibility
- Security tests for privacy and security validation

## Documentation

For more information, see:

- [Web5 Documentation]README.md: Complete Web5 documentation
- [DID System]README.md: Detailed DID implementation documentation
