Expand description

A byte-oriented L2 distributed cache backend.

Implement this over Redis, Memcached, a database, etc. The cache layer adds serialization, fail-safe and stampede protection on top.

Required Methods§

Source

fn get<'life0, 'life1, 'async_trait>( &'life0 self, key: &'life1 str, ) -> Pin<Box<dyn Future<Output = Result<Option<Vec<u8>>>> + Send + 'async_trait>>
where Self: 'async_trait, 'life0: 'async_trait, 'life1: 'async_trait,

Reads the bytes stored at key, if present and unexpired.

§Errors

Returns Error::Distributed on backend failure.

Source

fn set<'life0, 'life1, 'async_trait>( &'life0 self, key: &'life1 str, value: Vec<u8>, ttl: Option<Duration>, ) -> Pin<Box<dyn Future<Output = Result<()>> + Send + 'async_trait>>
where Self: 'async_trait, 'life0: 'async_trait, 'life1: 'async_trait,

Writes value at key with an optional TTL.

§Errors

Returns Error::Distributed on backend failure.

Source

fn remove<'life0, 'life1, 'async_trait>( &'life0 self, key: &'life1 str, ) -> Pin<Box<dyn Future<Output = Result<()>> + Send + 'async_trait>>
where Self: 'async_trait, 'life0: 'async_trait, 'life1: 'async_trait,

Removes key.

§Errors

Returns Error::Distributed on backend failure.

Dyn Compatibility§

This trait is dyn compatible.

In older versions of Rust, dyn compatibility was called "object safety".
