Expand description

Platform-neutral metadata carried identically by CPU and hardware frames.

It says nothing about backing memory: a hardware surface may be larger (1088 rows for 1080p H.264), and an importer reports the extent it samples.

Fields§

§pts: MediaTime

Presentation timestamp.

§dts: Option<MediaTime>

Decode timestamp when available.

§duration: Option<MediaTime>

Nominal duration when available.

§visible_rect: Rect

Visible crop.

§orientation: Orientation

How the picture is shown upright.

§sample_aspect_ratio: SampleAspectRatio

Pixel aspect ratio.

§color: Option<ColorMetadata>

Color declaration.

§chroma_location: ChromaLocation

Chroma sample position.

§bit_depth: u8

Significant component bits.

§plane_layout: NativePlaneLayout

Memory plane organization.

§device_identity: u64

GPU device identity, zero for CPU frames.

§decoder_generation: u64

Decoder or surface-pool generation.

§picture_identity: u64

Physical picture identity within the generation.
