The encoder an export actually opened, and what it passed over.

Advertisement is not instantiation: a platform can register an encoder it cannot open on this machine. Every export reports what it opened rather than letting the capability list imply it.

Fields

encoder_name: String

FFmpeg short name of the encoder that opened.

class: NativeEncoderClass

How that encoder executes.

hardware_accelerated: bool

Whether it is configured to encode on the GPU.

rejected: Vec<NativeVideoEncoderFallback>

Candidates tried first, in preference order.

rate_control: AppliedRateControl

Whether the encoder runs the rate control’s quantizer or its bitrate.

quantizer_refused: Option<String>

Why a quantizer that was asked for is not the one running.

software_threads: Option<i64>

FFmpeg workers the encoder was opened with when it runs on the CPU; None on the GPU, which takes no share of the software budget.
