# atelier-reserve

A single-crate utility repo for reserving `aetelier-*` names on crates.io for
the [Aetelier](https://aetelier.xyz) platform, before the real crates ship.

The repo name (`atelier-reserve`) is deliberately NOT a crate name — it is a
tool. The crate NAME being reserved is the `name` field in `Cargo.toml`.

## Reserve one name

```
cargo login <token>            # crates.io -> Account Settings -> API Tokens
cargo publish --allow-dirty    # claims the current Cargo.toml `name` at 0.0.0
```

## Reserve the next name

Change ONLY the `name` line in `Cargo.toml`, then publish again:

```
sed -i '' 's/^name = .*/name = "aetelier-proto"/' Cargo.toml
cargo publish --allow-dirty
```

Repeat for each: `aetelier-sdk`, `aetelier-proto`, `aetelier-types`,
`aetelier-connect`, `aetelier-io`, `aetelier-telemetry`. Order does not matter
(no interdependencies). Each publish permanently claims that name at `0.0.0`;
the real crate later ships a higher version under the same name from its own
repository.

Verify without uploading: `cargo publish --dry-run --allow-dirty`.
