Always available regardless of feature flags. Includes:

• Agent - The fundamental trait for all agents
• Tool / Toolset - For extending agents with capabilities
• Session / State - For managing conversation context
• Event - For streaming agent responses
• AdkError / Result - Unified error handling Runtime composition features an Agent can consume or enforce.

The declaration is intentionally separate from an agent’s domain-specific skills. It lets portable composition validate that a coordinator can accept invocation-scoped tools, emit governed transfers, and participate in safe resume before execution starts.

Fields

runtime_tools: bool

The agent consumes RunConfig::runtime_toolsets.

handoff: bool

The agent can emit agent-to-agent transfer actions.

relationship_confirmation: bool

Runtime-injected tools can use exact-call confirmation policy.

checkpoint_resume: bool

The agent can safely resume an unresolved operation from a durable checkpoint.

shared_state: bool

The agent observes invocation shared state when it is supplied.

invocation_metadata: bool

The agent forwards cancellation and authenticated request metadata.
