verify_hash: bool

Verify the stored content hash (always recommended; only tests that intentionally mutate bytes turn it off).

verify_canonical: bool

Prove that the image is exactly the canonical encoding of its own content. This is unconditional: an unflagged image fails, because the canonical encoding of its content carries the canonical flag.
