# SEDSnet 4.2.5 source qualification

Qualified on 2026-10-23. Package publication is a separate step.

The immutable runtime archive SHA-256 is
`90a4a64bde7cf1e7abf651dfc9c5eea09b3f4b0ef8c0ed92c3155e7f09ee7caa`.
The tested source is based on commit
`a98bc5a922b233cc843732234a241d1f807ac4b2`, with the receive, queue,
reliable-delivery and receipt-routing changes recorded in the 4.2.5 changelog.
Build tooling additionally fixes Cargo artifact-directory selection; it does
not change the qualified runtime. Release documentation adds no runtime code.

| Gate | Result |
| --- | --- |
| `python3 build.py test --full` | Passed; 672 Nextest tests, zero skipped |
| `python3 build.py test --full --features compact-packet-compression,fair-admission` | Passed; 698 Nextest tests, zero skipped; 600-second codec/arena soak |
| `python3 publish_crates.py` | Passed complete default CI route, both test campaigns, clean-tree/version/package checks and Cargo dry-runs; no uploads |
| Installed Python wheel | 53 tests on Python 3.12; 48 headless tests on Python 3.14; strict Python-feature Clippy |
| Reduced/embedded configurations | Passed hosted no_std memory tests, strict embedded checks and Cortex-M4/M33 builds |
| Seven-board firmware simulator | Original startup, pressure/source and GroundStation restart gates passed |
| Sustained simulator traffic | 600 simulated seconds, 6088 wall-clock seconds; original network, source-preservation and all three SD checks passed |
| PowerBoard compact storage | Original startup, 120-second pressure/source/SD and GroundStation restart checks passed at original memory limits |
| macOS factories | All seven production factories passed; FC and PowerBoard simulator factories also passed; FC production uses 471996 of 474624 flash bytes |
| GroundStation platform closure | Native Linux and production Raspberry Pi ARM64 compilation passed |

Both full build-script campaigns include strict hosted/Python/embedded Clippy,
doctests, reduced-feature memory checks, benchmark smoke tests, Python tests and
an embedded build. The complete publisher command was run in a clean private
Git checkout. A prior source-only attempt correctly failed its missing-Git
clean-tree guard and was replaced by that successful full rerun.

The system fixture uses Pi main-Ethernet discovery and framed TCP to the
gateway-side Pico-Fi at 1 Mbaud, without a Pi-side Pico or I2C. Sensor rates,
queue budgets, retry limits, watchdogs, clocks and acceptance limits were not
relaxed. Simulator GPS input matches the FC's configured site; the FC validator
is unchanged and still rejects the previous off-site fix.

These are source/build/simulator results. They do not establish physical radio
latency, real-board current calibration, physical Raspberry Pi performance or
a separate 600-second PowerBoard compact soak. Other repository/UI release work
remains tracked in GroundStation's work plan.

Release-tool hardening after runtime qualification: local PyPI credentials now
use supported OS credential stores. Repo config contains only a fixed non-secret
reference, with verified migration from legacy plaintext. Thirty-five focused
Python/CMake tests pass, including backend/parser error redaction, migration
failure, refusal of plaintext fallback, atomic writes, CLI compatibility and
Ninja dependencies. No Rust runtime code or qualified firmware limits change.
The focused fixture uses approximately5MiB; large build trees are not recreated.
