An output cube held open while channels are written, so cfitsio writes the data unit once, on CubeWriter::finish. Use from a single thread.

Create output_path with the header of input_path and the beam keywords for target_beams.

Append the BEAMS table (natural mode) and close the file. Channels never written read as zero.
