Measurer

Struct Measurer

Source
pub struct Measurer { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

The right to ask, for the length of one Host call.

Not Send: the Renderer answers on its UI thread only, and the Host call this was handed out in is on that thread.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Measurer

Source

pub fn measure( &mut self, requests: &mut MeasureRequests, results: &mut Vec<MeasureResult>, ) -> Result<(), MeasureError>

Asks every question in requests in one call and puts the answers in results, in the order they were asked.

A request the Renderer could not answer says so in its own status, and the rest are answered. A call the Renderer refused as a whole leaves every answer at zero size and comes back as an error, which the layout is free to carry on past: nothing stops, and the next frame asks again.

Source

pub fn measure_encoded( &mut self, buffer: &[u8], count: u32, results: &mut [MeasureResult], ) -> Result<(), MeasureError>

The same, for a request buffer encoded by hand. results must have one slot per record.
