Struct ToneReservation

pub struct ToneReservation {

    pub iterations: usize,
    pub step: f64,
}
Expand description

Tone reservation (Tellado 2000): a few subcarriers carry no data but a peak-cancelling signal. Every iteration projects the excess of the peaks above the target amplitude (the clipping noise) onto the reserved tones, by least squares, and subtracts it: a gradient descent on the peak excess that never touches the data tones.

Fields§

§reserved: Vec<usize>

Indices of the reserved tones among the active subcarriers.

§ratio_db: f64

Target amplitude, in dB above the average power.

§iterations: usize

Iterations.

§step: f64

Step of every iteration (1: the full projection).

Implementations§

Source§

impl ToneReservation

Source

pub fn random( n_active: usize, count: usize, seed: u64, ratio_db: f64, ) -> ToneReservation

count reserved tones drawn at random (seeded) among the n_active subcarriers, the usual choice (a random set gives a peaky cancelling kernel).
