IoBuf

Struct IoBuf

Source
pub struct IoBuf { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Immutable byte buffer.

Cloning is cheap and does not copy.

Implementations§

Source§

impl IoBuf

Source

pub fn copy_from_slice(data: &[u8]) -> Self

Create a buffer by copying data from a slice.

Use this when you have a non-static &[u8] that needs to be converted to an IoBuf. For static slices, prefer IoBuf::from(b"...") which is zero-copy.

Source

pub fn len(&self) -> usize

Number of bytes remaining in the buffer.

Source

pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool

Whether the buffer is empty.

Source

pub fn as_ptr(&self) -> *const u8

Get raw pointer to the buffer data.

Source

pub fn slice(&self, range: impl RangeBounds<usize>) -> Self

Returns a slice of self for the provided range (zero-copy).
