Method used for syncing files from remote.

Variants§

§

Rsync

rsync over SSH - preferred for delta transfers

§

WslRsync

rsync invoked via WSL (wsl rsync) - used on Windows when native rsync is unavailable but WSL is installed with rsync available inside it.

§

Scp

SCP-based transfer using the system scp command.

Used on Windows (and other platforms) when rsync is unavailable. Delegates all authentication to the system ssh/scp binary so it inherits OpenSSH agent, ~/.ssh/ keys, and ~/.ssh/config correctly – avoiding the ssh2 library which does not integrate with the Windows OpenSSH agent.

§

Sftp

SFTP fallback using the ssh2 crate – last resort only.

Deprecated in favour of SyncMethod::Scp which uses the native system SSH binary. Kept for backward compatibility with callers that pattern-match on this variant.
