Create a new indexer for a remote host.

Get the host name.

pub fn needs_indexing(probe: &HostProbeResult) -> bool

Check if indexing is needed based on probe result.

Returns true if the remote should be indexed:

  • cass installed but never indexed
  • Index exists but has zero sessions

Returns false if:

  • cass not found (can’t index without cass)
  • Already has indexed sessions

pub fn run_index<F>(&self, on_progress: F) -> Result<IndexResult, IndexError>
where F: Fn(IndexProgress) + Send + Sync,

Run indexing on the remote host.

Streams progress updates via the callback as indexing proceeds. For hosts with large session histories (100k+), uses background execution with polling to avoid SSH timeout.
