Expand description

Errors that can occur during case loading.

Variants are ordered by the pipeline phase in which they typically occur: I/O read → parse → schema validation → cross-reference validation → semantic constraint validation → warm-start policy compatibility.

IoError

Filesystem read failure (file not found, permission denied, I/O error).

Fields

Path to the file that could not be read.

§source: Error

Underlying I/O error.

ParseError

JSON or Parquet parsing failure (malformed content, encoding error).

Path to the file that failed to parse.

§message: String

Human-readable description of the parse failure.

SchemaError

Schema validation failure (missing required field, wrong type, value out of range).

Path to the file containing the invalid entry.

Dot-separated field path within the JSON object (e.g., "hydros[3].bus_id").

§message: String

Human-readable description of the schema violation.

CrossReferenceError

Cross-reference validation failure (dangling entity ID, broken foreign key).

Fields

§source_file: PathBuf

Path to the file that contains the dangling reference.

§source_entity: String

String identifier of the entity that holds the broken reference (e.g., "Hydro 'H1'").

§target_collection: String

Name of the collection that was expected to contain target_entity (e.g., "bus registry").

§target_entity: String

String identifier of the entity that could not be found (e.g., "BUS_99").

ConstraintError

Semantic constraint violation (acyclic cascade, complete coverage, consistency).

Human-readable description of the violated constraint.

PolicyIncompatible

Warm-start policy is structurally incompatible with the current system.

Name of the failing compatibility check (e.g., "hydro count").

Value recorded in the policy file.

Value present in the current system.
