pub enum RefSiblings {
Enforce,
Ignore,
}Expand description
How to treat constraint keywords written beside a $ref.
Draft-07 - the dialect provider schemas are written against, and the one the
CloudFormation registry itself validates with - ignores every keyword beside
a $ref. The build pipeline compiles bundled schemas with Self::Ignore
so the engine never enforces more than CloudFormation’s own contract. Overlay
schemas are compiled with Self::Enforce: the author supplied the sibling
constraints deliberately, and they are merged onto the referenced definition
at validation time (PropSchema::resolve).
Variants§
Enforce
Compile constraint siblings beside a $ref and enforce them.
Ignore
Drop everything beside a $ref, matching draft-07 evaluation.
