Expand description

Top-level error type for the clawft framework.

Variants are grouped into recoverable (retry, timeout, rate-limit) and fatal (config, plugin, I/O) categories to guide callers on whether retrying is worthwhile.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Retry

A transient failure that may succeed on retry.

Fields

§source: Box<dyn Error + Send + Sync>

The underlying error.

§attempts: u32

How many attempts have been made so far.

§

Timeout

Fields

§operation: String

Human-readable name of the operation that timed out.

A provider returned an error (e.g. bad request, server error).

Fields

§message: String

Provider-supplied error message.

§

RateLimited

The provider is throttling requests.

Fields

§retry_after_ms: u64

Suggested wait time in milliseconds before retrying.

§

ConfigInvalid

Configuration is malformed or semantically invalid.

Fields

§reason: String

What is wrong with the configuration.

§

PluginLoadFailed

A plugin/extension could not be loaded.

Fields

§plugin: String

Name or path of the plugin that failed.

Underlying I/O error.

§

Json(Error)

JSON serialization / deserialization error.

§
