On the compacting statuses of an automatic compaction (absent on a typed /compact): characters of the summary streamed so far (text and tool-input deltas, not thinking). Returns to 0 at each new attempt and stays 0 while a background summary is awaited. A rising count shows progress; it is not a share of the final length. Absent from CLIs before 2.1.295.
