Metadata returned after a segment is finalized.

Fields

path: PathBuf

Path to the segment file.

min_timestamp: i64

Minimum timestamp in the segment.

max_timestamp: i64

Maximum timestamp in the segment.

row_count: u64

Total number of rows.

series_count: u32

Number of unique series.

byte_size: u64

File size in bytes.

row_group_count: u32

Number of row groups.

column_count: u16

Number of columns.

uncompressed_bytes: u64

Total uncompressed payload bytes (before LZ4/Zstd), for compression ratio tracking.

header: SegmentHeader

Segment header (available from the write path, avoids re-reading the file).

column_metas: Vec<ColumnMeta>

Per-column metadata with stats (available from the write path).

series_keys: Vec<SeriesKey>

The distinct series the segment holds, in series-major order — the writer knows them, so nothing has to decode the segment to learn them.
